2-Apr "Randall's Round" by Eleanor Scott (1929)
7-May "Medusa's Coil" by H. P. Lovecraft and Zealia Bishop (1939)
4-Jun "A Child in the Bush of Ghosts" by Olympe Bhêly-Quénum (1950)
2-Jul "Talent" by Robert Bloch (1960)
6-Aug "The Pandemonium Waltz" by Jeffrey Ford (2023)
3-Sep "The Two Musics" by Michael Cisco (2024)
Deep Ones live a long time, but as they get older and fishier, their metabolism slows. We have fallen short of a minimum number of nominations for weekly frequency for the second quarter in a row. Discussion in the planning thread has led to this change to monthly frequency, and we will have a planning thread for Fall-Winter at the start of September.
This time around we had five nominators and at least nine selectors. The six selections that made the cut each had a net 7 votes in their favor, and none of the other nominations did. The result in terms of chronological sources is three pairs of stories: two pulp-era, two mid-century, and two contemporary.

This looks good! And thanks for the explanatory paragraph, paradoxosalpha. I was just thinking that having a month between might allow me more time to ILL some of our stories.
And for any Lurkers on the Threshold - PLEASE join in on these discussions! Your comments are more than welcome!

Oy, looks like I provided 4/6 of the nominations that made the cut. I hope you'll like them!
Any particular reason we've stopped doing the stories in publication order? I certainly don't mind, but it surprised me a little.
Thanks, as always, to paradoxosalpha for doing the legwork :hatsoff:
(finwork, if we're getting fishier?)

>3 AndreasJ: My bad; I meant to use our accustomed publication order. Now fixed.

>2 gwendetenebre: I'm a lurker that only very occasionally comments here.
There is an 'answer story' to Medusa's Coil out there that might fit into these discussions. Sorry, no LT touchstone...

Nice find! I found it in its entirety online. I'll move this into the Advance Nomination Brainstorming Thread so we can remember to put it up for a vote in the Fall/Winter nominations.
