WE CAN TALK

Just got home from the grocery store, found multiple ants in and around my radiator and also found out that my husband got laid off! I hope other people are having a better day than we are!

I got this from Cindy, ("LibraryCin"), this morning and she said I could share with all of you.

"I should still be ok to do that September challenge, but my eye is worse again and I am going in for a 3rd surgery on Friday. I will have to be offline for 2 weeks after (and I'm supposed to minimize it tonight and tomorrow), so I won't be around again for a bit. Hope all is well. Feel free to let the others know if you'd like or if anyone starts wondering again."

>9 mnleona: I've been friends with Cindy, (LibraryCin), since we were on the Leafmarks and Shelfari book sites...sites that are no longer in operation...YEARS ago. Actually, a lot of the people now on LibraryThing and Goodreads were on those sites also. Goodreads & LibraryThing generously gave the members of those two groups the opportunities to move all our books over to their sites. It seemed to only take a short time for everyone to get moved over...and it appears that we all are happy to be here. I think most are thankful to these two sites for the opportunity. I know I am. I use Goodreads also, mostly for reviews, but I am partial to LibraryThing. Goodreads of course had a monetary desire since it's run by Amazon...but I buy tons of books from Amazon...so I feel that we are both winners.

I'm doing this from a computer at the library. I should have mine back either today or tomorrow. We had a scammer pretending to be Microsoft yesterday. We didn't respond to them but it could have infected the system so we're having it checked out. People that are that smart should do something useful to benefit mankind instead of preying on the general population. Since the library would frown on me moving in and living in the computer room...I will be less active until my "baby" comes home.
