Books not showing up in TinyCat

Hi, my apologies if this has been posted before, I took a look at the topics and couldn't find it. I've been using LibraryThing and TinyCat for several years now, and generally the longest it took for a book I registered in LibraryThing to show up in a search in TinyCat was a day or two at most (though it was usually immediate). Recently, however, I registered two new books about ten days ago, and they still don't show up when you search for them by keyword on TinyCat. Any idea what might be going wrong? Hello, I think my TinyCat catalog needs reindexing too, as the numbers don't match up between LT and TC.

About 19 records which I have indexed and updated in LT since July 7th have not been indexed into TinyCat.

1. Did you add these 20 items via Add Books or via Import?
2. Did any of the items you added correctly show up in TinyCat? Or had you only added these 20 items?

We re-indexed your catalog, and I'm seeing the records you linked in your TinyCat now. Please feel free to alert me if anything else looks amiss!

20 records in Chinese manually added via Add Books. One record imported from Overcat.

I don't think you're the only one experiencing the issue, although it does seem to be happening more frequently with you - though perhaps due to a combination of when you add books and your diligence in circulating them soon afterward. I'll keep an eye on your account specifically, but please do notify us of any other discrepancies that arise until we resolve this for good!

I'm slightly confused as to where these omissions are visible (Hmm, that might be a contradiction in terms ?).

Looking for the numbers in my own library at LT

9,888 books 8 collections 756 tags...

finds 9.888 items, so things look fine here.

Is this also where @ECCClibrary is seeing the problem?

The main issue is arising during searches in TinyCat. A new item is added in LibraryThing and is visible there as normal. A few minutes pass and it should appear in TinyCat, but doesn't appear there at all until the account's library is re-indexed manually.

This has happened to a few accounts, and much more often than is normal, but it's still an intermittent issue apparently, so we're having trouble reproducing it.

If you or anyone else notices anything like this, please let me know so we can keep investigating!

BTW the MARC view feature is very nice. It displays a few details you don't find in LT.

I have an open bug report on 9 books, that trigger a strange error message:
ERROR: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'get_fields'

I recently added 56 books to our catalog. They appear in the recently added if I go to Add Books, but do not appear in the Catalog. I cannot check these books out to my students. Any assistance would be much appreciated! LL Schouten

I too currently have a problem with adding new books i.e. Aubrey Beardsley: A Slave to Beauty, My call letters Ar166.
If I search for it on our Home page with the book name or call #, it is there but does not show up in Library Thing under Your Books. It was added several days ago. I also added two manually, Pa055 and Pa056. I tried deleting and re-adding but it shows there is already a book with this call #. Is there something I can do?

>43 SRALArtLeague: Hi there! I do see that book in your catalog on LibraryThing, are you perhaps in a different collection from your Collections dropdown? I see that the Beardsley book is only in the "Books" collection, so make sure that you're either looking there or under "All collections."

I see that those two barcode records were indeed deleted, by looking in your Edit History (https://www.librarything.com/catalog/SRALArtLeague?&deepsearch=Pa056). You can free them up to use again by going to your Barcodes Settings (https://www.librarything.com/settings/barcodes), expanding "Show Barcode Actions," find "Barcode Pa055" and "Barcode Pa056" on that page and click "Free up."

It looks like the only collection you're currently displaying in TinyCat is "Your library" but many of the books you entered recently are in "Books" but no other collection. You can change which collections display in TinyCat from your Basics settings page (https://www.librarycat.org/admin/settings/general).
