In Wonderland, to be specific. I was given a copy of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland , the Tove Jansson edition. Since I love both Lewis Carroll and Tove Jansson, I decided it was time for another reread. As always, the mix of whimsy with overtones of anxiety and darkness was engrossing. And why IS a raven like a writing desk? Both covered in black??
I suspect that some of the illustrations of major characters might be based on people Jansson knew....

I am in Llyr, with A Study in drowning. Very atmospheric and so far an interesting worldbuilding.

I'm enjoying The Shape of Power, an ER title I got through LT. Engrossing adventure with an interesting magical premise. I can't recall the name of the land off the top of my head.
Edited to correct the touchstone.

I'm in Velaris; I've been reading A Court of Mist and Fury.
My coworkers pressured me into reading the series, but so far I'm having a good time.

Been around this past week: First in Welce with Troubled Waters, then Pheme with Sword Dance, then the Inner Lands to hang out with The Steerswoman. Then, alas, back to the real world for a bit to get through the TBR some.

Traveling around Canada but mostly in Ottawa with Cascade, the first book in Rosen's The Sleep of Reason series. (The second one, Blight, just came out last week.)

I finished Wall of Storms (Book 2 of the Dandelion Dynasty by Ken Liu). Not as good as Grace of Kings, and I almost didn't pick up The Veiled Throne. But I did, and it is off to a decent start. I think that Liu's excellent character building overcomes his tendency to do expository dumps. The second book reminded me a bit of Brandon Sanderson (with an East Asian flair). Lots of "look how this process works - isn't it cool!" combined with characters who are dealing with internal conflicts.

I've just left Liriat with Saint Death's daughter and will be following her adventures with Saint Death's herald.
