Touchstones not always sticking

I've been noticing this week that occasionally touchstones in a post disappear. I'll have to check whether it's only after editing or whether they don't save when you save the post, even though they appear in the touchstone list. Sometimes it's all the touchstones in a post but sometimes just one (the last one added after editing).

Have you noticed any particular pattern to when they don't save? When this happens, are you trying to save a lot of Touchstones in a post or... how many do you usually add to a post? Is there a particular time of day you notice this? What type of Touchstones are you using: work, author, series?

I'm guessing the missing Touchstones has to do with how long the system takes to search/find and attach them?

I want to say this is an old bug resurfacing, because I recognize the problem. But I couldn't tell you where the old bug is.

I assume it’s the same issue. It must have been the last edit which caused the list of touchstones to disappear. I can’t remember now but I don’t think I added any titles/ touchstones that time.

It looks like it happened here without editing though I copied and pasted the list (including the square brackets) so it's possible it didn't have time to save

Unsure if this is related or not, but sometimes if I write something up and then wait too long to hit 'post message', the touchstones will disappear. I'm not sure exactly how long is too long, as I have sometimes waited days between writing something and posting it, but I will check to make sure all the touchstones are correct, and then when I hit 'post', the touchstones are gone.

>17 GraceCollection: Got it! I'm not terribly surprised you'd have trouble with Touchstones in that instance. I'm guessing the time between linking the Touchstones and posting eventually expires and you have to "reset" it by—copying the text first—refreshing the page and reposting the text.

Another example; she fixed a touchstone (in a list of touchstones) but that one isn't showing.

I'll need a developer to dig further into it, most likely. (I may try to debug this further after I'm back next week - heading out for a few days this afternoon.)

I haven't seen this issue for a while but it just happened again. I've been editing this post:

I added a touchstone for Drowned Country and saved the post and then edited it to add quotes but that touchstone has disappeared.
