So, it's an adult romance novel with fantasy elements published sometime in between 1998 and 2005.

Near the beginning of the book, in a section from the male lead's point of view, the female lead randomly takes him back in time to a village in the middle ages for a few minutes. He doesn't believe what happened at first, but then sees mud on her shoes.

The female lead is some type of history professor.

They go on a road trip, or a very long car ride together for some reason.

I think she was born in the past, and something her old fiance did brought her to the present.

It's possible that the book contains some type of Arthurian legend mentions.

I think her old fiance, also in the present now, owns some type of club or business called Quixotic. Or, maybe that was just the word used to describe it. Or him.

I'm fairly certain that the male lead mentions eating an entire box of ding dongs in one sitting at one point in his life.

Any help at all in finding this book would be appreciated. Thanks!

>1 TheTurtleBlaam: I think this will be the "Fates" series by Kristine Kathryn Rusch under the name Kristine Grayson. Utterly Charming is the first one with the guy with the Quixotic business. Thoroughly Kissed has the road trip. (I haven't read these so I'm trying to keep names to a minimum in case they're spoilers).

Edited: Amazon has this one as the first in the series, but published in 2011 so not in your range.

You got it! Amazon says Thoroughly Kissed was published in 2001 in the paperback form that I remember, and that's the one! Thank you so much!
