1-Oct "The Floor Above" by M. L. Humphries (1923)
5-Nov "The Summer People" by Shirley Jackson (1951)
3-Dec "Zone of Terror" by J. G. Ballard (1960)
7-Jan "The Shining Ones" by Arthur C. Clarke (1964)
4-Feb "Three-Bladed Doom" by Robert E. Howard (1977)
4-Mar "Old Terrors" by Rosemary Jones (2025)
This time around we had three nominators and at least ten selectors. The lowest two vote-getters had only net-2 votes each, and these were in a batch that I posted very late in the process in order to ensure that we could make it to six selections.
Discussion start dates are the first Wednesday of each month.
I have been totally delinquent as a discussant this year. I need to be better in the upcoming semester. All of these stories are interesting to me.

Thanks for keeping the wheels spinning!
No evidence of a Cold War trough here - 2/3 of the stories are from that era.

Thanks as always, paradoxosalpha! I've been delinquent, too, but time is precious lately and has to go to other things, unfortunately. I'm working on it. Maybe some of this group's other six hundred-plus (!) members can help by participating...

And that's a good little bunch of selections for Autumn! Nice to see two SF giants in the mix!
