I thought the novel was Paper Wife but it doesn’t show up on the internet. The college girl gets pregnant by best friend’s boyfriend. They repent but do paper marriage and she moves to Mexico to have the baby there. He is with his original girlfriend who has no idea what has happened. The rest of the novel shows the mother and son’s struggle to come back to the states.
