There is no obvious for the "Search your library" to be so narrow
It could easily be increased by say 2.5x to 3x which would enable better readability when your parameter is a long one.

>1 JonathonL88: On the website? The "Your books" section? I totally agree. There are also some weird restrictions on the length of the search string depending on how you present it to the system.
(But please point a bit more precise to where you want the improvement to happen. It was not clear to me if you meant the app or the website, but I'm guessing you meant the latter.)

>1 JonathonL88: Can you be more specific as to where? The one on the home page? On the Your Books page?
Did you know you can go to the site wide search and limit it to your library?
Also, I believe the Librarything 2.0 rebuild hasn't hit the Your Books page yet, so it may be in the works for one of their big repairs.

1: Web browser not the app
2: Top right i.e. your books then search field
3: However, the same applies not only to "Search your library" but to the "Search LibraryThing" field above it.

>4 JonathonL88: There are plans.
Actually, I've had plans since the LT2 overhaul started.
But I fight uphill battles on some of the more "drastic" design changes.
You will notice that our header has never changed, even through the LT2 design changes. But hopefully sometime soon (though there is no immediate plan for it). You can make your window a little smaller to cause it to change to "mobile" mode to get a bigger site-search box. Yes, I know that's not a solution; but an example of the direction I'd like to see, more generally. Basically....modern.
