That hideous hideous strength!

I was idly browsing the local library system's ebook titles and came upon this:

We need both a CSL Face and our ovine pal on this atrocity.

ETA they had both of the previous books in Lewis's Space Trilogy. The one for Out of the Silent Planet was just about OK, but I might post the one for Perelandra when I've finished clutching my pearls.

That hideous Word Art font puts it over the top.

>1 haydninvienna: I am absolutely certain none of Mr. Lewis' books contain naked bodybuilders wielding lightning.

Also absolutely certain that whoever did this only read the title.

Do bring us more! And yes, our old pals CSL Face and Space Sheep would have been deployed.

This one is closer to right, because there is a Green Lady in the book, but jeez Louise ...

>1 haydninvienna: I'm just trying to figure out what workout he does to make his muscles all faceted like that. Mine aren't, and I'm a mite jealous.

Does he look vaguely like Leonard Nimoy to anyone else? Only me? Okay....

>6 haydninvienna: She's not even very green, mostly flesh-colored, and showing more flesh on the cover that CSL would have approved of regardless of content and accuracy of her being nude. *

Not even mentioning that anyone who bought it in this cover is going to be really disappointed to find pages of scriptural allegory and religious arguments. And feminist it is NOT.

* Some comedian said decades ago that "nude is when you don't have any clothes on; naked is when you're up to something."
