Under CK, there is a bug going on when you search for related movies. Nothing seems to be popping up for me. I'm using a laptop and google chrome.

>1 morgie87: Can you give an example or three? Unless we know the data you're looking at, there's no way to know if it's data or code that's involved.
Also, "laptop" could be Windows or Mac or Chromebook. I'm guessing, because you didn't specify, that it's Windows, but still... Windows 7, 8, 10, or 11?

>3 morgie87: What's the related movie you're trying to add? I assume you're adding to English language CK?

>4 kristilabrie: It's more than one movie. It usually works fine. I've noticed this since that Cloudflare issue. Not sure if that's related or not. I can copy and paste links form pervious logged content, but nothing since. Under "related movies" it just shows me a blank bar and no IMDB link. Apologies if I'm not explaining this well.

It's the suggestions from IMDB that usually show up when you add a related movie in CK that isn't working. You can force the link by adding the IMDB number yourself and it works fine. Just the suggestions dropdown isn't working.

To reproduce:
1. Go to https://www.librarything.com/work/26302728
2. Scroll down to the "Related movies" field in the CK section. Click the edit pencil to edit it.
3. Enter any movie likely to return a result from IMDb ("Blade Runner", for example).
Bug: The autocomplete menu is not working as expected. A single, blank autocomplete result shows beneath the text, and clicking it clears out the text you typed in the box.

>8 morgie87: Assigning this one to @conceptDawg for when he's back next week. He says our IMDb library needs to be updated from time to time when IMDb updates things, so that's probably what happened here.

>9 kristilabrie: Okay and thanks again. Hopefully it gets fixed.

I've been looking at this and it seems that our 3rd-party library that connects to IMDB is not working correctly. I'm attempting to circumvent the issue but IMBD doesn't have an "official" API to connect to them so it's a bit of a hunting expedition. Hopefully I'll get this corrected soon.

This should be working again. Let me know if you're still having issues. The solution was a bit of a hack.

>12 conceptDawg: It seems to be working. The years aren't showing, but thanks for the help.
14conceptDawg
I'll see if I can get the years in there. Hacky, hacky, hacky.
15conceptDawg
Ok. I have the years fetching correctly (in most cases) again. Even more hacky this time. We'll see if it holds up over time.
Some very recent searches might be cached for a day or so and might not have the year in the data but they should resurface quickly.
ETA: IMDB no longer returns the director's name in search results, so that is unavailable now for auto-inclusion in the parenthetical metadata of the item.
