DebiCates' 2026 Reading Strategies & Machinations

2026 here I come with all my many TBR books and best intentions at the ready.

Back in the olden days, I used to keep a reading journal, handwritten, always a red spiral notebook (get it, red/read?) and I loved getting more from my reading by doing that.

Now it seems almost quaint, and was definitely painful (writer's cramp).

With this ability to create my own reader's space (thank you @TonjaE), i am going to give this a go. Not like the old reading journal, but something new, something public and surely not so scribbledly messy.

We'll see what that is...I've got a month to figure it out.

Will be logging everything I read including individual short stories and poems, broken out by month. I plan for an End of Year statistical look, and then also a Grand Finale where I write about my reading experiences for the year:

Where I share my most unusual reads of the month on the social 75 group:

Shorts that began with the 26for2026 challenge, each month highlighting the best:

A single ongoing message that I update as I make discoveries about ideas I want to explore.
