Alright, yes, it's only day four and I brought home these two.

Stop looking at the four over there. They came home with me from holidays and that was way back in 2025, practically years ago, those don't count.

So the items arriving in the mail that were ordered in December don’t count?
Thank you for that clarification.

I have no culpability for books gifted to me, and once in my possession, they're as much a part of my library as anything else. It shouldn't matter if I start reading one of them instead of a title that's been gathering dust for, say, years.

>3 elenchus:, sounds like a gesture of appreciation to the gift-giver. If the other has waited this long, what's another few years more?

Exactly! I'm being thoughtful and deliberate, honouring the gift-giver!

Three more arrivals today. Where did those come from? Invaders!

A total of nine so far this year .... it'll be sixty by year end at this rate ... I need more axes to chop down this forest.

I've added eight in 2026. But I also unloaded a few.

I have successfully resisted the U of Chicago Press online sale, despite some tasty offerings there.

>9 paradoxosalpha: Yeah, I had to stop scrolling, the titles were only becoming more attractive. There's always ILL.
