Here I am, late but arriving once again. I think I'll probably have a lifetime membership to the ROOTS Challenge!
I have a large TBR but looked carefully at the ROOTS from just the last 5 years and was surprised to find that I had fewer Roots from 2025 than from the other years. I think I might be able to work them all in this year so we'll see how it goes. Last year I concentrated on ROOTS the first half of the year and set my goal at a low 35 and read above that number. At this time I need a no pressure goal and I think I enjoy reading them more with that approach.
TICKER:
January
1. Death Around The Bend by T. E. Kelsey, the third book in the cozy Lady Hardcastle Mystery Series 3.5*
2. The Liptick Bureau by Michele Gable
A novel based on the experiences of one of the first women in the OSS during WWII. 3.0*
3. The Borrowers by Mary Norton 4.0*
A well loved children's book about little people that live under the floor of a house and often "borrow" from big people.
4. Tuesday the Rabbi Saw Red by Harry Kemelman 3.0*
From the Rabbi Small cozy Mystery Series.
