Bad Gateway Host errors and 405 errors today?

Site is being really slow for me today. Getting long hangups/spinning, Bad Gateway Host errors, as well as 405 errors.
The Gateway errors say: browser working, cloudflare working, but Host error librarything.com

Yes, sometimes reloading gets things back, but happening repeatedly over the past hour. I tried logging out and then logging back in but it hasn't improved anything.

Had a big pile of things to enter and update today, so will stop banging my head against the wall and walk away for a bit . . . but it doesn't seem to be a problem for any of my other searching, etc on the web . . . just LT.

Sorry for the trouble. It looks like LibraryThing had some spikes but I didn't see any other reports (yet).

How are things for you today? If you're still having trouble, please let me know some sample pages where you're getting errors, the errors you're seeing, and what area of the world you're in (this will help me figure out if we're blocking you somehow). Also, your browser and OS couldn't hurt.

I'm not getting any errors today (I did have a bad gateway error once in the last couple days), but the site is responding slowly, and has been for two or three days. If I refresh a page, or try to navigate from one thread to another, there's a distinct delay.

I believe the slowness is due to bots slamming us, still, but I'll circle back if there's another explanation.

I will chime in and say that I've also experienced the site being really slow the past handful of days, covers in particular sometimes taking forever (or outright failing) to load.

Images in the "recent" galleries are particularly slow to load.

Just got hit with a bad gateway at 3:28 pm EST.

>9 gilroy: Sorry for the issues. We've still been getting heavy bot traffic on LibraryThing and TinyCat. The developers made some changes that should help the system from getting (as) bogged down, and we've made alerts more sensitive so we can see can see if things are slow sooner. Hopefully this will help significantly!
