Do you sometimes feel like sitting your main character down and just having a good chat with them, or giving them some advice?

I’m currently reading Hedda Gabler, the darkness of this play is slowly creeping up on me, as I’m left with the impression that something awful will happen. I don’t think Hedda is a bad person, maybe misguided, and the advice I would give her is isn’t there a better way to do this?

Meursault from The Outsider by Albert Camus, I wouldn't and let him be.

to Vincent Hannah, 1 of the MCs in Heat 2, if only you caught Otis Wardell sooner, imagine how many women would have felt safer.

I'd want to ask Faust how it's going after in part 1 he made a pact, I'm starting part 2 this weekend.

>4 AnishaInkspill: I haven't been reading enough plot-based, character-driven works to ponder this question since you posed it. All of April was dedicated to poetry rabbitholes for National Poetry Month and that was my primary "reading." I still haven't finished Cosmicomics even!

But stretching the question a bit, I would ask Qfwfq what was his favorite 100 million years of the Universe. 😜
