NPM 2026, Day 6 Surprises
Have you ever surprised someone with the gift of a poem?
If you haven't, this month you might leave your sweetheart a poem in her coffee mug or in his tea cup. (Clean and empty, of course.)
Tuck a poem under a windshield wiper of a stranger's car. Maybe one with a handicap sticker. Or a baby seat in the back.
Write a poem on a scenic postcard, leave it at an empty bus stop.
Wonder what your politician would think if he/she received a poem. Might brighten an intern's day, if nothing else.
In a Thank You notecard, write a poem you were taught in school and liked. Send to the teacher who introduced you to that poem, even if they probably won't remember you.
Text a friend that hasn't heard from you in a while, make it a limerick.
As with every post of this month, you are welcomed to answer the question or also comment with either a poem you've found or with a poem you've written that you think will go with this day's message.
