Search by Call Number

We would like to search by Call Number to bring up a list of books with that Call Number. This would help us in deciding where to catalog the new book we are adding. Sometimes it's a bit tricky deciding where to put it and this affects where it ends up on the shelves.
Under Advanced Search in Librarything there is no option to choose Call Number.
Could this be added please?

If you want a change made, it would be better to post it in https://www.librarything.com/ngroups/559/Recommend-Site-Improvements, where it would get more attention.

Although you can't at present search on call numbers, you can sort by call number, which might help you.

You can do this but you need to type this into your browser as a URL

and " &deepsearch=%C2%A0othercallnumber:bookcase7*%C2%A0 "
as ONE long string

This will give you Search: othercallnumber:bookcase7* x

Replace
othercallnumber: with callnumber: , whichever is needed
bookcase7* with whatever your want
Trailing * means 7,71,72...7444 etc
Top left box must be ALL Collections

I am starting to get the idea. You use the search box for your own library in the top right and you put your search in there like:

othercallnumber:B*

This will give Biographies

LT editor truncates so
deepsearch=%C2%A0callnumber:168.8*%C2%A0

Goto your books, ALL collections, List mode, search all fields and type in search field callnumber:168.8*

or try callnumber:1* just to see results....
