Warrior Woman

Of all the odd things to ponder about this cover, the one I find myself dwelling on is just where she is shooting those yellow beams from.

What an abomination - I love it!

Also, thank you, cover editor, for including the diagram of the winning popsicle bridge from this year's junior Physics class at Asimov High School.

Egads. Never manifested as ink on paper, I hope.

Looks very much like cut and paste. With real scissors and real glue.

Two cowboys, a popsicle stick bridge (grade school, not high school), and a chick with frickin' lasers on her boobs, all set against the background of a greeting card.

I say it's items gathered from the den, and I say the hell with it.

>4 RobertDay: I agree! Where else could such non-matching media have come from? Even MS Paint could do better than this.

>5 GSSex-noob: Grade-school popsicle-stick bridge, you say? Does that mean the river was painted with tempera paints?

Oh, and don't forget the trysting young lovers in the background. I wonder if Ms. Laser-nips there was really aiming at them, but missed and winged the cowboy on her right instead?

Why do people do such things? Surely everyone has a nephew with delusions of artistic skill, or the ability to google up some out-of-copyright painting of something that could be mistaken for relevance?

Did anyone notice that we have mouseover text now?

I just checked his Amazon page. All the covers are like this. Copyright is 2016. He would have been in his 70's then.

At first I thought: Oh, that's kind of sweet that he got to see his fantasies into print at last.

And then: Does that mean that he was so isolated that there was no one to tell him how embarrassing these look?? Very sad.

>6 Hammy_JLK: I think she was aiming at the men -- she got the cowboy on the left square in the butt.

How the guy on the right got turned 180, I don't know. Maybe the boob guns are some sort of tractor beam instead of lasers.

Not quite sure what the popsicle stick bridge is meant to indicate. I mean, other elements tell something of a story: boob lasers! Romance! Cowboys! (Is the Warrior Woman supposed to be Native American?). But Civil Engineering?

GSS ex-noob: perhaps he's a stunt rider and she's attacking a rodeo?

Lasers notwithstanding, the book's genre on Amazon is "Western."

If there was ever a justification for rolling 'AI' image generation out to the masses, this would be it.

If you look *veerrrrryyyyy closely*, you'll notice that the yellow beam that is hitting ol' Lefty in the rear is passing just to the right of Native Laser Woman's left shoulder. This makes me think that only one of her nipples is laser-equipped, or she only had enough money for a single-sided ray-bra....

>16 Hammy_JLK: Or there was a surgical problem after her second laser-boob and the nipple ended up in the wrong place.

I can imagine how all the other images would fit into a Western, but not those cowboy-shootin' rays.

>18 Hammy_JLK: Godspeed with it.

If you got rid of the laser boob(s) and the bridge...

it would still suck, but be a bit less ludicrous.
