NPM 2026, Day 11, Our Saturday

Thanks to this amazing group, Saturday has become my favorite day of the week. The selected poem is always a surprise, and is something to savor throughout the week

That reminds me of an article (can't find it now) I read recently picturing readers at a retreat, sitting on rocks and against a bridge by a river, each reading from their own book. I applaud them, but it doesn't seem something that would work for me, just as these colourful folks are a little too comfortable in their own plumage for me to mimic.

>2 elenchus: Australian Cox has a lot of paintings of ecstatic folks wearing their "plumage" on their sleeves. And elsewhere. Some are not as froo froo as these two. Some look like they just got back from running through the back of a butcher shop or wallowing in fungi. All mesmerizing.
