Hey!
I have uploaded a few covers now, and almost all of them have worked with no problem. But there are, as of now, three that just refuse to show up.
Is this a common problem? Is there any known fixes to it?
If it helps, the books in question are:
https://www.librarything.com/work/13086804/covers/311209255 - My edition is slightly different than the ones available
https://www.librarything.com/work/15221589/covers/310311471 - The available cover is in the wrong language
https://www.librarything.com/work/35961617/covers/309916780 - This one simply doesn't have any other covers

>1 Sir_Lobster: Click on Helper Hub, look in the right hand pane, then click recalculate cover.
It will apply eventually without doing that.

If you uploaded a cover that does not show up at all, it's some kind of a bug. Eg, https://www.librarything.com/work/35961617/covers/309916780 has no covers at all, by you or anyone else. If you're certain you uploaded it successfully, report a bug, or try again. Normally, there's an error message if it doesn't work for some reason
Recalculate cover mentioned in >2 Maddz: helps immediately apply it as default, but your own book should show the one you uploaded right away without it.
You can check what covers you uploaded at Home > Gallery > Book Covers.
ETA: It's also worth knowing early that Amazon-provided covers can change or disappear any time, so if you want them to be stable, it's advisable to choose one uploaded by members to LT, or upload your own if there is no suitable one already.

Note that if you don't want to scan the cover, and one of the Amazon covers is right, you can download the Amazon cover, then re-upload it so that it is available as a member cover. And you can even use the editing controls to adjust it a little.

>4 waltzmn: Indeed, or just grab it from the web

>3 SandraArdnas: Didn't know about the gallery, thank you! I can now confirm that these three didn't show up there so I guess I'll try one more time for all of them just to be sure.
I did pay close attention to them when I uploaded them the first time, and didn't see any error messages.
But while reuploading them now I did find the problem! I'll report it but also write it here if someone else runs into this problem:
When uploading there is a popup message if your file is above 10MB, the three scans I tired to upload were all between 6MB and 9MB.
I dragged and dropped them into the upload box, pressed save (or confirm, whatever the "ok"-button says), the upload progress bar showed up and filled up with no problem at all. But then, as previously stated, the covers just didn't show up for the book.
The thing I noticed now is that even though the scans were under 10MB (and it let me upload without the 10MB limit popup showing up) on the progress bar is said they were all around 11000KB for some reason.
This all resulted in them going through the upload process, but falling on the last hurdle and not actually being uploaded.

>6 Sir_Lobster: I think that happened to me as well recently, but I just resized the image a couple of times until it worked. I agree that the original image was within the prescribed size limit.
