Lost my account I opened around 17-20 years ago. Is it truly gone?

Hello all --
Not sure if this is where I should ask this, but for whatever reason LT has completely wiped out my account from around 2006 or 2009 (I think?), when I paid around 20 USD for a "lifetime" subscription. I've tried both email accounts, and neither has come up as an account, leading me to think it's truly been wiped due to my not using it regularly enough over the years.
Anyone have a similar experience and/or advice?
Thanks,
L

Do you remember the user name?
Or have you contacted info @ librarything . com so they can help sort you out?
They don't tend to delete accounts unless they were completely empty.

Are there any unusual books you own that you think you had catalogued? In that case, you can look at them and see who have them catalogued and see if you recognize your account.

Hi Gilroy --
Thanks for the reply. I think I tried to contact them a couple years ago, but don't recall them getting back to me. The account was far from empty...
The only reason I wanted to get back into it is that I have waaaay more books than ever before and am having trouble keeping track of them all. Heh.

Yes, I have a few that are super old and/or rare. The problem is, I might have put my account to private at some point? Thanks for the tip; I'll try looking into it, nonetheless.

>5 Lost_Librarian: LT can see into private catalogs - so if you send them a mail with the titles of some rare books in LT that you may have, it may help them find your account.
Keep in mind that a rare editions does not help much but a work that has only a few copies in LT does.
PS: As far as I know, they had never deleted accounts (outside of spam accounts) and certainly not accounts with books. The rules say they might but we had had that discussion awhile back and I am pretty sure Tim said they had never enforced that rule. So the account is still around probably.

>1 Lost_Librarian: I can tell you that we have not wiped out your account. (because we don't even have a system that does that for old accounts). If you can give us ANY information about it we might be able to help find it for you. Just email info@librarything.com or send an LT direct message to @AbigailAdams26 and we'll do what we can.

when some years ago I came back to LT, I manage to get my old account back even if I had not added any email address and of course I had forgot my password. However I had some hapax books (my copy was the only one on LT), so I photographed their covers and all went good. So it is quite possible to retrieve an account.
