Japanese Amazon Search

Hello, can I ask, does the Japanese Amazon book search ever work? I've been using LibraryThing for a couple of weeks now, but the Japanese book search has not worked in that time. I got LibraryThing in order to catalogue my collection, which is about 800 physical manga. A lot of the more popular series are on other countries' Amazons, so a listing does populate for them, but many of the newer and less popular manga aren't available on other countries' Amazons. They are almost all on Japanese Amazon though and I can search them via isbn there. If I had a smaller collection, I'd be willing to add more of them by hand, but it will take forever and it's frustrating because I know most of the data is already recorded and that there is supposed to be an easy way for me to add that data to my collection.

Alternatively, if anyone knows of any apps like LibraryThing that focus on Japanese works, that would effectively solve my problem too.

Please give an example of something that doesn't work. (It seems I can come up with an example myself: Searching on amazon Japan for "book" just returns a "The Search has failed".)
