Hi there! I know this would be quite a difficult find but I'm looking for this sci-fi book I read as a kid. Bad thing is that I've forgotten the title, author's name and even the names of all the characters!
What I do remember is that it's a dual-protagonist story, constantly switching between a human girl and an android boy between chapters and tells the story as these virtual diary entries the two are writing.
The girl had recently lost her parents in an accident, I remember these diary entries are a form of therapy for her, there's also a technology she can use that creates holographic versions of them to talk with but she knows they're not real.
The robot boy I remember that he wakes up in a tube and feels it filling up with fluid making him panic, and once he's submerged in it, it gives him all the knowledge he needs to understand himself and his role. However, he still has signs of humanity and writes these diary entries too.
The only other thing I remember is that these two first run into each other with the robot grabbing the girl by surprise and having green eyes that shows he's a robot (or maybe some other colour, maybe orange?)
The cover of the book was also the robot boy's face.
I really hope I can find some help here. I know this is a really awkward ask and will likely not turn up many hits, but I wanna find it! And Google is not help, haha.
I first read it around 2018 or 2019, so it must have been published then or sometime prior.
Thanks for reading it and I hope if you choose to help me look that you find it! :)

Possibly Boy Robot by Simon Curtis? It was published in 2016. A number of points match but it is not perfect.

>2 beichst: Thanks for trying but sorry, i don't think this is the right one after reading an extract from it. I remember that the chapters started by stating the log number for the diary entries the characters were writing

Wanted to note that with some more digging and a bit of help from family, that I managed to track it down! It's called Echo Boy by Matt Haig :)
