Since the "new" Book/Work design I can't seem to find Combine/Separate anymore. Sometimes I stumble upon it, but then can't ever retrace my steps.
The pinned FAQ instructions seem to be from 2009, so predate the change and nothing about a move or new instructions or a new wiki are coming up when I search.
How is it I used to be able to find & do this and no longer can?
The specific book I just added and am trying to connect with an author and a series is: Italians of Greater Paterson . . . which in the touchstone includes the series name . . . my edition/ISBN wasn't showing the one time I stumbled upon the already combined books . . .
And yes, I know someone can now just fix it for me . . . but what I really want is instructions on how to do it in the reconfigured LT (which seems to have moved everything to places I never find them anymore :( )
Thanks.

At the very buttom of the work page, the is a link called something like ‘Add to workbench’. This will add the work to a workbench where you can add a multitude of books and then combine.
There is also an ‘Open workbench’ link, which will show you what is currently added to the workbench.
Hope this helps, else report back and better directions will be forthcoming.

It is hiding in "Helper Hub": https://www.librarything.com/work/24282697/helperhub for this one for example
Note the checkbox/slider on this box: "Show Helper Hub on right side of pages". Turn it on if you are interested to see it every time. :)
Once there, the easiest way to combine is via the workbench.

On each Work page, go to Hrlper hub, and add it to the workbench. Then combine. This is usually very easy.
Sometimes the combination will show up as a possibility on the edition page (of one of the works). This can be a good option if there aren't a lot of bad suggestions. This is also where to go to separate if your book is wrongly combined.
The author page is another place where works can be combined. Again you want the Helper hub, and go to the combine page from there.
I find the Helper hubs in the lefthand menu, but that can depend on your set up and your settings.

Thanks. Never used Workbench or Helper Hub before.
In the past, I was clicking on a "Combine/Separate" link somewhere in the right hand column . . .
So had no idea it was connected with these other options.
Also still have Book/Work in my head as separate places, which they really aren't anymore . . . so I kept going in circles trying to find what I was looking for.
Will try the above later . . . cuz I just realized it's 1340ET and I haven't had lunch!

>6 LucindaLibri: The Combine/Separate link is now under Editions: https://www.librarything.com/work/24282697/editions for the book above). It got an upgrade as well and is now showing the combinations for the author at all times :)
But the workbench is the easiest way if the books do not popup under the combinations proposals OR do not share an author.

>7 AnnieMod: And those are only essy if they are relatively short pages. Their main advantage is if they show you several more possible combinations that you had not been aware of. I recently did a combination from the author page that had translations into several languages languishing away.
