Book shows on Author's page, but system won't allow me to add--send me to Add Books page

I found the book I wanted to add to my library on the author's page. Clicked Add, then received the "Could not find any results? Go to the Add Books page." error.
Went to Add Books, but the book was not found even after I changed the original title/author info (shortened it) to generate more results.
Why is a book that is already in LibraryThing not available for me to add to my library? How can I fix this and add the book without having to start from scratch and manually create the entry via Add Books?

Because LT is not a source. If you cannot find a source you can add it manually. The link for that is at the bottom left of the Add books page.
Closing as not a bug.
If you say what book you are looking for somebody may be able to find a source, but manual entry is not dificult. You just may have to combine it with the existing work.
