As a follow up to the discussion of the use of press names, marks/logos in another thread I thought it might be worth a separate discussion.
A press will have some kind of identifier which encapsulates their identity or origins. Some might not have a specific logo but might rely on variations of a particular motif or just use text to spell out the press name in a fitting typeface. In many ways choosing the press name and mark is one of the most important decisions a press can make.
Which press names and/or logos do you find particularly successful? Are there any with interesting stories behind them?
