I just added a new book and set the start date to July 4, 2026. The field displays "July 4, 2026". When I save, the Book Details says "Started: July 4, 2026". If then select "Edit Book", the field now says "July 3, 2026". If I save, the results are the same: the Book Details will display "July 3, 2026" and if I select "Edit Book" again, it will now say "July 2, 2026".
I've tried this on the app and in my browser. It's more evident on the app since when you save the changes, it stays on the Edit Book page, so you can see every "Save" forcing the date back by one day.

This is not happening to me.

>1 freixas: What time zone are you in? I feel like the last time something like this happened it was because of the system handling time zones incompletely.

My time zone is Pacific Time.
I checked, and the bug still exists. And if it wasn't clear, the Book Details page shows the same date as the last save, but the next Edit Book shows a date one day earlier.
The sequence is: set the starting date to "July 4, 2026". Save. Book Details now shows "Reading Dates Started: July 4, 2026". If I then press Edit Book, the "Reading Dates" start field says "July 3, 2026". Every Edit Book, Save sequence knocks off another day.
If it's a timezone error, then there should be a region of time in which the bug does not occur and a region of time in which it does occur. The test I just ran was at 7:57 PM PDT (UTC -7:00). UTC is now 2:57 the next day. This suggests that I should repeat the test before 5 PM to see if it's still there. I'll try to remember.

I remembered. It's now 6:44 AM PDT. UTC time is 1:44 PM of the same day.
The bug is still present. Every Edit Book displays a start date one day earlier than what was displayed with Book Details. Every Save decrements the date by one day.
Could the problem be just with this book? I checked some other books (books with a completion date) and did NOT see the problem.
Maybe it's because the book with the problem has no end date? I added an end date and saw the same problem in BOTH dates. I have no idea why this book is special.
The book is https://www.librarything.com/work/33188077/317674127. The images show the book information (from Overview) and then the start and end dates as shown immediately after selecting Edit Book.

I had another book in my Currently Reading collection that had a start date and no end date. It did not show the same problem. The start date in the overview matched the start date after I selected Edit Book. I double-checked the problematic book. It still has a problem. Whatever the problem is, it's book-specific.
