Tried scanning some books in today on the app (iPhone 16 with iOS 26.5) and was getting the same error for all of them: “The data couldn't be read because it isn't in the correct format.”
I also checked and rescanned some book that were already in my library that I knew I had scanned in before, and they now also got the same error message.
Additionally, the app crashes when trying to access certain areas or functions: when you try to Add to Catalog via scanning, if you click on “Edit” for which collections a scanned book would be added to; searching within Your Catalog or All Book; when in Your Catalog clicking on “Collections”; when looking at a book, clicking “Edit Collection”.

The app is crashing for me as well on iPhone 14, iOS 26.5. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and now I get the same “wrong format” error message when trying to log in.

Same for me - also iOS 26.5.2 and app version 1.2.4 build 145.
And someone should tell the developers that “data” is a plural noun…

Thanks for the note. Sorry for this. Everything seemed grand when I made a change last night—but our app reporting was silently omitted. It should be fixed now.

>5 timspalding: Downloaded the app new this morning around 11am EST and it closes after every scan. Still adds the book but closes completely after each barcode scan. iPhone 16 iOS 26.5.2

I'm having the same issue as others--I deleted the app as suggested and reinstalled it but everytime I try to scan a book, the app kicks me out. iphone 17.
Can you give specific instructions for what to do on our end to fix this issue? I downloaded 425 books onto the app over the past week and would hate to have to change to another book cataloging app, but that may be the only option if this isn't fixable.

Scanning a valid ISBN now adds the book correctly and no longer gives an error message, but the app crashes directly after doing this, as >7 lskopil: reports.

I'm having the same issue -- open app, scan a book, it finds the book and adds it to my library, but the app crashes immediately. Help!

Same here. iPhone 11 with iOS 26.5. When I try to type in an ISBN or book title to add, it thinks for a few seconds and then crashes. I just installed the app for the first time today.

Adding to the chorus, crashes when adding book (that I later added on the website without issue) in latest iOS on recent model iPhone and iPad Pro.

This should be fixed now.
