I'm slowly moving through Andy Weir's Project Hail Mary. There's a lot of hard science in it, and because of that, I'm finding it less engrossing than his other books.
Finished I See You've Called In Dead by John Kenney in the wee hours of the morning. It was excellent, a 5-star read.

I finished Project Hail Mary, and learned a bit about science on the way. 4/5 stars for that book.

I've fallen a bit behind on reviews due to our just concluded two weeks away from home. First we went to Las Vegas for a week to visit my family, and then we went to upstate New York to stay at a fun cabin on Lake Vanare, a relatively small lake just a bit south of Lake George. I finished one book and read an entire second book over that time period. I've just reviewed the first of those, Isaac B. Singer's novel The King of the Fields, which I ended up enjoying a lot. I read this as part of my project of reading all of Singer's novels in chronological order of their publishing in English, two novels per year. You'll find my review on my Club Read thread and on the book's work page.
Next I read a fascinating history: Seven Days of Freedom: The Hungarian Uprising, 1956 by Noel Barber, a British journalist who was in Budapest for most of the bloody events of the uprising. I'll be posting a review in the next couple of days.
