has anyone read the warriors manga???
the first series tells Graystripe's story when he was away from the Clan. I like the books better but it was still interesting to read to find out what happened after he was kidnapped. Now there is a new series about Scourge, the leader of BloodClan, and how he grew up. I'm definetly reading that when it comes out.
And the Manga is "americanized", so it's not backwards and the panels follow a comiv book order, not like Japenese manga. So it's extremely easy to read.

I've read all the Mangas but I think the Greystripe/Millie story should have been a regular stand alone book done in the way of Firestar's Quest, and it should have been released before the Power of Three came out. I think the story about Ravenpaw might be Manga as well but I'm not sure.

yeah i think it could have been a lot more interesting as a legit book.
I'll have to look up the manga and see if ravenpaw's story is there....that could be pretty interesting.

I was really annoyed when I learned Erin Hunter was going to publish what should be legitimate novels as comic books. I have no intention of buying any of them. It's a pity because the stories sound interesting...

you're right they are really interesting and that's basically why i read them....it would be nicer if they were a real book but i really don't mind manga...
and they're graphic novels not comic books!
(wow my mom's librarian terms are finally getting to me :)

The Rise of Scourge is out! I just requested it from my library. I didn't see anything else new but the first Seekers book though. So if there is anything else out then my Library just didn't get it yet.

I looked at amazon and there was a graphic novel about Tigerstar and Sasha, which is interesting, because they mentioned Sasha for a couple of moments in one book, and then she was gone. Anyway, I don't like to call them manga, because they're not even Japanese in origin. Reading it left to right is fine, though I still prefer it "backwards" like the original Japanese, but the point is, it's not manga. I think that they should be actual books too. It feels like Erin Hunter is cheaping out on us.

I can't wait for the Tigerstar/Sasha one to come to my library!
You're right, it isn't really manga...I just kind of look at it as americanized manga. It really is just a graphic novel.
I agree that it would have been a lot more interesting if Erin Hunter had made them into to actual books, but I don't think she's doing it because she doesn't feel like it or she's cheaping out on us or whatever.... I just think she wanted to expand her stories a little bit and try something new.

I've read the Graystripe ones, and I was really disappointed. The story was...cheesy, I suppose is the right word. *shrug* Maybe I just don't like graphic novels.
The Rise of Scourge was really interesting. And I'm dying to read the Tigerstar and Sasha one!

yeah, I really wish she had made them into books. I agree it was kind of cheesy, and I love graphic novels! :) I like the illustrations for the graystripe ones and the rise of scourge A LOT better than the ones for tigerstar and sasha though. It has a pretty interesting plotline. I can't wait for the next one w/ them.
