FICTION Nature Lit

Hello Nature lovers.

I'm after good FICTION/FANTASY/ANIMAL STORIES with natural history or environemtal themes.

For example, Watership Down is one of my all time favourites.

So is Life of Pi. On some levels the book is more concerned with religion and philosophy, but the details on animal behaviour are exceptional.

I'll go young as well. I did enjoy Silverwing.

I just read Southcrop Forest and its chalk full of natural history.

Even Lord of the Rings though a bit overplayed these days, has strong environmental themes.

I'm currently reading Wolf Totem which, so far, has some fascinating insights into wolf pack behaviour and hunting strategies (though its more autobiographical).

What next?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
