The Disney version of Bambi resembles Salten's book about as much as saccharine resembles sugar. Given that, should these still be combined?

I played around a bit on the Salten page. But the Bambi is a problem. Personally, I would be in favour of using CK to get the Disney versions onto a Disney page, but I'll leave it to someone who actually owns the books, and can see how the books have the attribution listed.

Also anybody is free to enter their books as they see fit. Unfortunately this sometimes leads to weird works like Moby Dick by Mark Twain, and Dracula by Mary Shelley.
Other than leaving disambiguation notes, I don't see a solution to this problem.

Story on the Guardian site today about a new English translation of Salten's Bambi, faithful to the original novel as a parable of the inhumane treatment and dangerous precariousness of Jews and other minorities in 1920s Austria, as opposed to the original 1928 English bowdlerisation that Disney got his hooks into for the 1942 Disney film.
