What books will you be buying for Christmas?

my mom said that I should pick out a few things for myself for Christmas. So far I ordered Secrets by F.M. McPherson which I took out from the library but loved so much I wanted a copy for myself. I also bought a book called The Dragon's Heart by Caitlin Tara NicNubill which I thought looked really good, but was very expensive.

For the other people on my list, basically I bought books for everyone :-)

My mother-in-law is getting books one and two of The Mediator series by Meg Cabot and my sister in law is getting Old Magic by Marianne Curley and Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging by Louise Rennison. I'm making them both book gift baskets with mugs, hot cocoa and chocolate bars.

For my friend's kids (of various ages) I've bought:
Eragon by Christopher Paolini
Captain Underpants books one and Two
Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging (again)
and a Car's I Spy sort of book

For my mom and dad I bought a Rachel Raye cookbook

For my 15 year old I bought the first three Pit Dragon Chronicles by Jane Yolen

For my 6 year old I bought a Happy Feet and a Pirates of the Caribbean I Spy sort of books.

For a couple of my friends I realized neither had a copy of my book The Shadow Within (oh the horror LOL) so they're getting gift baskets with signed books and the whole mugs, cocoa and chocolate bar things.

Basically that's my gift list so far, but I haven't quite finished shopping yet.....

I am buying Julie Johnston's A Very Fine Line for both a friend (40s) and a niece (12). It is a great read for all ages. I also love and recommend all her previous books.
