My 17 year old son has had a clear-out of some of his books (mostly for ages 6 to 14 or so), which I was planning to list on RISI. As a lot of them are thinnish I was thinking of offering two of them in exchange for one full-size adult book (as long as I can post two at less than 250 g large letter post it shouldn't cost me any more than posting most other books). Has anyone else tried this, and is there anywhere to notify people that you have this kind of offer other than on the description for each individaul book?

Hi,
I have done this but as far as I know there is no way of notifying people except for in the book description (unfortunately!)
BTW, what is your RISI username. My sons are 8 and 10, one a very keen reader, the other less so!

I guess I will just have to mention it in the descriptions. I'm kfancett on risi. If you are interested in any of the children's books I have listed (quite a few more still to list) let me know your main and secondary choice when you request a swap and if I take you up on a swap and can fit the second one in without increasing the post costs I'll do so.

Have you put a notice in the RISI forums? I don't go there much but, as far as I can see, they seem pretty good.

Yes, the RISI forum is very active and they are very helpful there. I used to be a regular there until this site was mentioned on an "other good sites" thread. I came to have a look and somehow never went back...
