I thought that we could provide a single thread for people to post links to their photo collections on the web. This could be a central spot for people to check out each others work and get to know each other.
I'll start:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/christopherholland/
About my gear: I usually shoot digitally with a Nikon D2X SLR but I also have a small Canon point and shoot. When I want to shoot on film I use a Mamiya RB67Pro medium format monster.
I use Photoshop for all post-processing.

Reposting my photo gallery into the shiny new thread:
http://www.betterphoto.com/gallery/free/gallery.asp?memberID=46700
I want to make a website, but haven't had time yet.

I've not uploaded my collection on line yet, as I am still a little leery of people stealing them without permission. (Not that they are that great, just that they are unique.) I was wondering what site people recommend for things like this, that is free and allows the most control over one's photos.

Flickr lets you add a Creative Commons license to your photos. I know it's not the best, but your options are failry limited when it comes to online photo albums.
You can put your name on them via photoshop or something, too.
I have had mine used without my permission before, and it's not fun. It's not like I'm expecting to be paid, but a credit would have been nice. (The site from which they were taken (concert shots I sent with permission) did credit me, by the way.)

To protect your pictures on sites like Flickr or Photonet you can watermark them in PhotoShop, or only post low resolution or highly compressed versions, with the 'good' versions only available privately to known viewers (every photo can be public or private). Another way would be to host them yourself and make the files non-downloadable, but that's not free.
I got hounded off another site for exposing a user for stealing pictures from Flickr and claiming them as his own; people in general are strangely indifferent to this form of plagiarism.

Here's my Flickr page. (I don't have the typepad site anymore.)
I just put up a bunch of infrareds, in case anyone is interested.

>14 gilroy: I refuse to use Flickr for that very reason. There are many places on the web that will host images for free, all you have to do is look around and post smaller, not terribly usable images. Flickr is notorious for image thefts because of its popularity; it's one-stop thieving!
Anyhow, here are some of my Polaroids (some manipulations, some not, all instant integral):

Hey monohex - I just browsed thru some of your photos and I really liked them. Your capturing colors very nicely, and I also just happen to love Green Lake and Ravenna, so I guess I am a little prejudiced. Keep up the great work.

Thanks, Maggie. I'm a little biased towards those neighborhoods myself (not to mention they're close by, and easy to get to and from).

#14 and others:
If you are willing to pay to host your photos, Zenfolio (the hosting service that I use - my Profile links to my homepage there - http://aleph.zenfolio.com/) is an excellent interface for both user and viewer, and allows you a great deal of flexibility in controlling access to photos. It's not as socially thriving or feature-laden as Flickr, but if you are very particular about the presentation of your images, but don't want to go overboard with your own website, I find Zenfolio an excellent compromise.

My main site: http://soenyun.com
Some new work also appears on Lost in the Landscape, an art/gardening/landscape/whatever blog that I've started. It'll be linked to my main web page soon, but in the meantime it's at: http://soenyun.com/Blog

#26: Icemuff, I really enjoyed your work with Polaroids. With the larger formats being discontinued, it's getting to be a rare thing to see.
#27: Hi monohex - Very nice, and as a dedicated film geek, I especially enjoyed your film work. Keep up the good work!
Nice to see everyone's contributions to the thread. :)

Thanks terriks!
It's not exactly a link to *just* my photography, but I've just put up a site for the book I've written on Polaroid 600 and Spectra Image film manipulations. Since Polaroid has announced that they are killing off the last of their films, I put the information up quickly to give everyone as much time as possible to try the techniques out. It's free and all are welcome.

Hey, good for you - the site looks great and I'm sure you've helped many a person. Very nice!
I've been doing transfers and lifts for several years now, and will miss Time Zero film for SX-70 manipulations until the day I die! :) It's a dark, dark day for Polaroid lovers.

Very nice stuff, Idallara! Your favorites (on the Flickr site) are just beautiful, and I enjoyed the quotes and thoughts that accompany them.

I have to say the best place (that is free) to post your picts and not have them stolen is http://www.deviantart.com
You can not only post them small, but you can copyright them, and add a watermark to them online so if someone tries to "steal" them they just get a picture with a huge watermark in the center that obscures it and renders it unusable.
Most of my picts (I am a bit behind updating though,) are on there at: http://fior-labhair.deviantart.com/gallery
with all of those and more at: http://gallery.me.com/macophile87#gallery
