Our domain provider has helpfully informed us we have a few more days to get our LibraryThing.co.nl domain before everyone can do it.

Does anyone know what's going on with this? Are we going be thrown off .nl? Will dutch users expect .co.nl? What's the story here?

You might wan't to protect that name too, but I don't think anybody here would expect you to go ".co.nl" and I don't expect the ".nl" to disappear anytime soon.

BarkingMatt is right. I do not know of any website with .co.nl
All of the Dutch sites are .nl and I did not hear of anything trying to change that.

Most people will expect ".nl" I don't see the point behind this new domain extension either.
I guess it is something like co.uk, to differentiate commercial sites from other websites?
