I was combining my copy of Smokescreen by Dick Francis with the rest of them. I somehow accidentally added another book, 10 Pound Penalty, to the mix, and didn't notice it until I'd hit the "go ahead, screw everything up" button.
I've separated the 10 pound penalties back out again (that is, if I haven't missed any) and recombined them into their own work, but there are several foreign-language titles in Smokescreen, and I suspect some of them may actually be 10 Pound Penalty in disguise. (Or possibly other books that had previously been combined in error.) Can anyone help me identify which ones are correct and which need to be moved?
The Editions page for Smokescreen is here: http://www.librarything.com/work/71097/editions#
Thanks

I'll take a look and see if I can figure any of them out (despite having no language skills - I have some luck with google automatic translations and babelfish).
In the future - combiners may see your request sooner if you post it directly in the "Fix this Book" thread: (since many have it starred/bookmarked/etc.)

The only one I could find that I believe is the 10 Pound Penalty is - I skudlinjen so I separated it out and put it there.
Geflint
Rookgordijn
and the one that looks like Rokrida
all appear to be translations of Smokescreen.

Too true. It's no more than a useful tool. Handle with care!

I agree. One should check what the title of the translation really is.
>3 PortiaLong: Portia, you are right: I skudlinjen is the Danish translation of 10 Pound Penalty. I skudlinjen means "in the firing line", so translating it would have not been helpful from the combiner's point of view.

Thanks for the confirmation - I figured that one out by doing a google search for the book and found an entry about the book that read "I skudlinjen (Original Title: 10 Pound Penalty)" - those are the ones that I feel most confident about if the translations seem wonky.
