I got this book last year at some point, and I'll admit to not having read it yet. Now, because of a class I'm taking I'm reading his book The Crusades: A Very Short Introduction.

However, I just noticed on the copyright page that the book was also copyrighted as Fighting For Christendom. Are the two books identical?

Since I'm not familiar with both I can't be sure. But according to WorldCat they are.

Most likely. Sometimes the UK edition is slightly different from the American. For example, I recently purchased Medieval Warfare: Triumph and Domination in the Wars of the Middle Ages*, but it's also published with the subtitle England's Armies in the Wars of the Middle Ages, which is a much more accurate subtitle as the book is specifically about British warfare.

*Sorry, can't get the touchstone to work.
