What ever happened to that classic riposte to the ill-mannered person who asks if you’ve read "Finnegans Wake" or "Infinite Jest" — "Not personally"?
Might have to file that one away for future use, even though I don't lie about having/not having read stuff -- sometimes it's all I can do to remember!
