I just did a search on an author Stella Blum, which retrieved six books. The display, however, was very strange - I could see that it said showing 1 to 6 of 6, but only one was showing. I then realized that instead of each book having its own line in the table, they were all on one line, with the cover field overlapping the social data palette of the previous book; the palette is also missing its numbers for copies and reviews. I was able to replicate the problem with another search.
Is this the result of the new bit of collections code? Growing pains? :-)

Forgot to say, IE6/WinXP ...
Also happens with clicking on a tag on either home page or tag page, and doing a search in my library from the search page.

You're right, SilviaC, me too.
So far it's bad in IE6, 7, and 8, but okay in FF3.
Any other browsers affected?

Cover display has all the right pieces in three lines, but after the first line inserts this red text:
Warning: imagecreatefromjpeg(): gd-jpeg, libjpeg: recoverable error: Corrupt JPEG data: bad Huffman code in /var/www/html/inc_photo_upload.php on line 285 Warning: imagecreatefromjpeg(): 'picsizes/1e/33/131d9c1956f07772845b6b9a8f58c75a.jpg' is not a valid JPEG file in /var/www/html/inc_photo_upload.php on line 285 Warning: imagecopyresampled(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in /var/www/html/inc_photo_upload.php on line 297

Same problem here, same setup - IE7 Vista
(The 'displaying library horizontally instead of vertically' problem, that is)

IE7 and WinXP
Only 4 books display at a time in catalog(ue) and they display across the page in a table rather than down as previously, this makes the comments field impossibly narrow with only a couple of words in each line, and the rest of the books on that page do not show at all.
Covers display is working now, error messages gone.

Yeah, I had a big ol' WTF moment when I pulled my catalog up. Everything is sorted horizontally instead of vertically, and pretty much unusable.

This appears to be an IE-only bug. It works fine for me in FF3 (and using the IE Tab extension I can make it appear and disappear by switching the rendering engine! Whee!)
15SilentInAWay
Ditto on the IE-only: I'm getting this problem in IE7, but not in Safari (both on XPsp2)

I took a look at the page source.
If I'm reading it correctly, there's a typo in the generation of the table cell td elements. What I find ironic is that the same erroneous HTML is going to both browsers, but it's IE that's displaying the problem. FF 3 is proving too forgiving and hiding the code error. Or, that's what my brief examination is telling me.

I'm looking into it. I'll have a fix shortly.

I'm also having the problem of seeing only one title clearly when I look in "your library." Although I have my options set to see 20 titles per page, I'm only getting the first one on each page, then a line of junk, and another title. If I try going to another page, the same thing happens.

thanks, Chris.
22conceptDawg
No problem. It all stemmed from a single misplaced double-quote.

23: True. Likely a problem with the table...

Is anyone else seeing a strange layout on the Author pages too, where all the info in the middle column is squished to the right?
e.g. http://www.librarything.com/author/tolkienjrr

Looks fine to me on IE7.
ETA: Any page with an author picture has the centre column shifted slightly, but not enough to look squished.

Looks ok on FF3, too. At least, it looks like mine always look. Not squished, just inset.

I had the same problem (apparently a lot of people are having this problem too). I also had alls sorts of display problems on all screens. I see this too is common on another thread. I cleared my temporaty internet files and cookies and the problem seemed to go away. I have to try on another computer and hope it works there too. Go to "Tools" to do this. Hope it works for everyone.

Though my original issue has been addressed, I am now seeing another strange display; the social data palette column is overlapping and occulting the scroll bars, both at the right and at the bottom of the window. This is awkward when the slider is behind the palette ...
If I make the window wide enough that the column moves away from the right edge, I can make that scroll bar come back into view, but nothing helps the one at the bottom except making the window so wide the scroll bar isn't needed.
ETA: IE6/WinXP

I think it's a transparency issue; when I scroll up and down, the rows that are pale grey are not transparent, so the bottom scroll bar disappears, then reappears as a white row passes. The text on the white rows shows in front of the scroll bar, as does the cover image. Weird.
