Sorry, no C.

I think it's up to you how you play this game Theo. I've certainly had a look at people's catalogues when I've run out of ideas. I've 'googled' too.

So, Thrin, it is mere coincidence that I started to read Heart of Darkness yesterday?

176Thrin
Aug 10, 2009, 5:49 pm

Conrad's Heart of Darkness it is. A curious coincidence Theo (or has it something to do with that Brazilian butterfly flapping its wings?). Over to you....

177TheoClarke

I think you mean over to djay666, Thrin. So, take it away, Dave (and watch out for those Brazilian butterfly wings).

Thanks Theo - Yes I did mean over to djay666. Yet again I remind myself not to Log On until I'm fully awake.

Just to continue with the coincidence theme. Around the time of the last two posts I listened to a couple of music tracks that contained the words wing and butterlfy. They were both Japanese in origin though and not Brazilian.

Anyway, next puzzle:

Off to bed I trot now though as I have to be up, washed, dressed, out and in work in 8 hours from now. Will give you all some thinking time at least.

My first thought was The Hound of Baskerville, but I suppose not. Nor, presumably, The Mayor of Casterbridg.

Hang on... Isn't there a Trollope The Vicar of ???. Touchstones thinks it's The Vicar of Wakefield - Not enough letters Touchstones.

Aug 11, 2009, 8:57 pm

Well, you see, if I were to guess, there's at least a 30% or so chance that I would guess correctly, and then I'd have to start all over again and nobody else would get a turn.

Please could the next setter start a new thread.

</i>Yep, Handling Sin by local boy Michael Malone. Although Fondling Sin (hmmm, the touchstone doesn't seem to work) sounds good too.

Far be it from me to make Theo set the next puzzle. But somebody has to.

Edited to turn off the italics. Has anyone seen this?

Edited again to ask someone else to turn off the italics, since didn't work. Or just start a new thread.
