A recent favorite book of mine is Brad Kessler's Birds in Fall. The first chapter is written in the first person, then Kessler shifts to using the third person for the rest of the novel. The writing is exquisite and this book has had an incredible impact on my own writing. It's the kind of book I want to write and I recommend it highly!
