When sorting my reviews by votes, a couple reviews are not sorted correctly. It appears to occur for reviews I edited after they were voted on.

Or, it may be that more recent reviews (with no votes) are affected, and are inserted between the above reviews and the others with votes.

This has been noted recently; you are correct that it is reviews that are edited that are affected.

I wonder if this is related to the bug with newly-assigned or newly-combined books going to the bottom of the author list instead of sorting properly by number of copies? The two problems do seem to have a lot of similar features. If it's the same piece of code (or a copied-and-modified piece of code) handling both, that might give the programmers a clue as to where the problem lies.

Tim solved this problem a few days ago - turned out to be that something was never refreshed so things were getting stuck forever. Now the list gets refreshed after the combination and should not be happening anymore. Haven't seen it anywhere since then either.
As for the original problem - the thinking seems to be that people thumbed up your review before you edited... LT just does not count these thumbs after an edit because it is not clear if it is the same review at all... Might be wrong.

Thanks all. I'd searched before posting but did not find the note mentioned by staffordcastle.
Helps to know the logic behind the code (not counting if edited after a thumb). It makes sense to me, since the user may very well not vote the same way after an edit. Would also be helpful to indicate that somehow (perhaps -- simply take the thumb away after an edit).
edited for redundancy

I am just saying what the thinking seems to be... :) I think it just need to remove the thumbs on edit or do something similar but oh well :)
Anything else simply makes no sense. :)

I think the thumbs should remain (and count) after the edit. I'm guessing that most people edit reviews only to correct typos and minor issues like that, rather than entirely rethinking their assessment of the book. Getting rid of thumbs after edits would discourage people from cleaning up their reviews and lead to lower-quality reviews overall.
