Hi,
I am hoping sombody can help me with this book. A few years back (3-6 years) I was looking at books to purchase. I found one that I really wanted to read, but just didn't get it. Now I cannot remember the title or author. For the last few months I have been trying, with no success, to figure what that book was. I don't have much to go on. It was a book about a step-mother who has lost a biological child-girl, I think. The young stepson, whom I think was very agitating, thinks that she hates him-and she does!
I know thats not very much, but it would be great if someone knew what book I was looking for. Thanks!

Ayelet Waldman wrote a book about a bereaved stepmom & her relationship with her stepson, Love and Other Impossible Pursuits.

There's one very much like that I can think of, except both children were biological: We Need to Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver
