I just finished They Found Him Dead and I think it is my favorite of her mysteries so far. There are some wonderful characters in it. She really excels with rampageous youth. And Lady Harte is marvellous.

Well, I've only read one so far, Envious Casca. I really enjoyed it, more for the characters than the mystery, which didn't seem mysterious to me at all. I think I'm going to stick with her Regency romances for a while.

I haven't ventured into any of her mysteries yet. I'm still rationing myself on the Regency works :)

Generally I do like the regencies better - but they found him dead comes close in many ways.

I will look forward to seeing what you think, Wisewoman! rationing seems, in hindsight, to be a good idea. I have a horrible sinking feeling that I may have read them all now, with no new ones to look forward to and only the joys of rereading left to me. I first heard about her earlier this year, and have rapidly acquired and devoured the books over the last few months.

My favourite one, so far, has been The Unfinished Clue, with They Found Him Dead second, for all the things kokipy said.

So now I am reading Duplicate Death, and was tickled pink to find Timothy Harte, and Lady Harte, and Jim Vane and others figuring prominently! It is a treat to find old friends in new books.(new to me, that is!)

Unfortunately, I read Duplicate Death and I don't think I read They Found Him Dead yet, or whichever the first one was. oops! Oh, well. My favorite of her mysteries (I haven't read that many, though) is Footsteps in the Dark. It is absolutely hilarious. Laugh out loud funny :-)
For the Christmas holiday, I picked up Envious Casca as it has a Christmas house party.

well, won't be hard to find- I do have it! But I don't remember the characters well enough for it to really make an impression on me, unfortunately. Will have to re-read duplicate death, too!

Have just finished A Blunt Instrument and this is the first of her mysteries I've read. Not a 100% convinced by it. I must admit I didn't guess who did it, but I found the plot contrived and none of the characters particularly interesting, with the exception of the murderer.
I'll try They Found Him Dead in the hope that it appeals more

I hadn't read any of her mysteries for awhile but recently reread Why Shoot A Butler and really liked it. The hero was the same sort of strong character that you see in her romances.
