So, we had a little glitch with the Truly, Madly giveaway. On Nov 30:
Some winners learned they had won.
Some got a message saying they didn't win.
On Dec 3:
Some who had previously been told they didn't win then got a message saying they did win.
If you got a message saying you didn't win, and then got a message that said you did win – you have won Truly, Madly.
We made a mistake when we created the additional winners, which means some of the winners will receive two books this month. Our rule is one book per month, but this was our mistake. We won't be making it again, likely.
If you have any questions, please email me. sonya@librarything.com

I was one of the ones that got the- you didn't win anything email then got the -you did win!
I was scared you were going to say oh the 1st email was the right one you really didn't win anything.
But I had a question it is not showing up in the books you've won section. This is my first ER so was wondering if I have to do anything?

3mellymel171328
Yea I had the same thing happen to me... I was excited when I got the win message and glad to see that it is still true but as 2> said I can't see it under my won page either.
5mellymel171328
I was wondering if Truly, Madly is ever going to show up as a won book under our early reviewer window?
6sonyagreen
We're working in it. Because it was an exceptional situation, it's not behaving correct.
7susiesharp
Still not showing up under books won...But I know your busy playing Santa!
8crazy4reading
It's not under mine either but I haven't received it yet either. No rush.
9sonyagreen
We haven't fixed it yet. It may be a while. You shouldn't be penalized for it, so you'll just have to wait it out.
10crazy4reading
That is okay. You guys are busy with playing Santa. I did receive the book today and will add it to my library and when it is listed I will click that I received it. Thanks for everything!!

Sometimes people closer in locale to the publisher receive stuff sooner. I'm in the Midwest and still waiting but then again, my mail always seems much slower with the extra holiday volume! Glad you got it and hopefully it's as good as the description sounded!
Nevermind. I just checked the November received thread and its arrived in NY, CA and IN this week. I think my mail is just slow. Either that or my husband thought it was a Christmas package and hid it off somewhere....
12susiesharp
I just finished and reviewed this book and its still not in my you've won these books area.I hope thats ok I wanted to get this review out what a fun book!
13reconditereader
I also won this book, received it, and reviewed it. I hope everyone who won it gets theirs soon!
14mellymel171328
I won the book, read it in a night and reviewed it as well... Still waiting for it to show up on the page but I am sure that will happen in due time. :)
15susiesharp
Wasn't it cute!!..I liked it better than I expected to and hope her next one comes out soon after the release of this one!
16mellymel171328
Oh it was adorable, it isn't often that I can read a book in one sitting.
17crazy4reading
I too have received, read, and reviewed the book. I didn't do it in one sitting but I could have if I had the time to sit for that long to read. I loved the book and am looking forward to the next one. LT Will you like it? said before I read the book that I probably wouldn't like it, I knew it was wrong. Now it says I will like it.
18Storeetllr
I enjoyed it quite a bit too! It's the first book I've been able to read for awhile and probably just what I needed ~ something light and fun ~ to get me back into reading. I'm also looking forward to the sequel.
19elbakerone
Still waiting for it and now I'm even more excited about it! Glad to hear that so many have enjoyed it!
20belknapwhit
I too am one of those who had to read it in one night. I am really looking forward to reading the next one(s)!
21elbakerone
Still waiting for this one...
Seems like most people got it several weeks ago. Hope nothing's wrong and that it really *is* on its way.... Anyone else still expecting it?

#21- I haven't recieved the book either. Hope it gets here soon.
23crazy4reading
I received the book I am just waiting for it to show up on my ER list of books won page.
24susiesharp
Still not on my books won page either. But I did review it already.
25KathyWoodall
Still waiting on my copy to make it to Oklahoma. Begining to wonder if it got lost.
26elbakerone
#25 - I'm wondering the same thing (but in IL). I'm thinking if it's not here by the end of the month it may be worth mentioning to Sonya. With most books I'd give it a good 12 weeks to arrive before saying something, but it seems like this one went out right away and the initial confusions could mean that some of us were left off the list....
I'm still really hoping to get it though!!!
*fingers crossed, fingers crossed, fingers crossed*

I saw a message from the author posted on Goodreads a while back saying that she had confirmation that all the books had been sent out but I don't know if she meant all of them or just all of them for winners at Goodreads. Might be worth checking on though since there was some confusion.
28elbakerone
Yeah, I think I'll still give it til the end of the month though. Sonya's always got a lot on her plate and it seems like they're still clearing up problems with this one anyway - does anyone have the book appearing on their "books won" list?
Once it shows up there it would be convenient to mark it as "did not receive" but it seems like there might still be a kink with them getting it on the "books won" page so I can only hope maybe the publisher is still sending them out too.

Mine has not shown up yet on the books won list.

31pandora05
I still haven't gotten my actual copy of the book - I was one of the December 3rd people. I'm in Virginia.
32elbakerone
#31 - Lots of us are still waiting. :( I've been worried to see that there are already 228 reviews written but I checked the original request page and there were 500 copies available so it could be that half the winners still haven't gotten books...
If it's still not showing up on anyone's books won page at the end of next week, I'll send a message to Sonya alerting her of the issue and point her to this thread for names of people still waiting (although I'm sure there's plenty of people that have not gotten it that have not said anything here...)
If it does show up on the books won page then we can all check the "did not receive" box.
*sigh* I almost wish the reviews were more negative so I didn't feel so frustrated at not getting it yet. ;)

Even though I received (and reviewed) my copy, it doesn't show up in my "books you've won".
34madamlibbytellsall
Mine still hasn't shown up either. I think we may have to e-mail Sonya directly. (Off to do that right now!)
35crazy4reading
Mine is the same way #33 & 34. Let us know what she says madamlibby... Thanks for emailing Sonya.
36sonyagreen
Like I said in >9 sonyagreen:, it's not going to be taken care of soon. It's something that takes a bit of programming, and there's a queue of things for Early Reviewers that are more important (there are some bugs that NEED fixing) before we get to it. It's on the to-do list.
Once it's added on the list of ER books, your review will automatically be added, so there's nothing you'd have to do.
>34 madamlibbytellsall: Thanks for emailing.

Thanks for the answer. We will wait patiently.
39elbakerone
So......I guess we just keep waiting?
40madamlibbytellsall
> 39. Looks like it.
41Storeetllr
Just curious ~ are you waiting to receive the copy of the ARC from the publisher or have you already read the book & posted your review & are just waiting for LT to add it on your ER list? I've read & reviewed it a week or two after I was notified I won it, but it's not on my list either.
However, if you haven't even gotten your copy of the book yet, it may be time to write a little note to the publisher and let them know about it.

Glad to see that I am not the only one still waiting on my copy. I really did want to read this book. Okay so I will stay patient.
43crazy4reading
I received my book and reviewed it right away. I am just waiting for it to show up on my list.
I guess those that haven't recieved their copy may want to either notify sonya or the publisher to find out what happened. I wouldn't mention anything to sonya about it not being on your ER list of books won yet. That is what we have to be patient for right now.

I'm actually being patient for the book itself to arrive. *sigh*
If/when it shows up on the list we can mark the "did not receive" button to alert staff that we never got it.
In another thread, people were asked to wait at least two months before notifying sonya about unreceived books. So I thought I would give it until the end of January....

>41 Storeetllr:. I received and reviewed it and like #43 it has not shown up on my list.
>42 KathyWoodall: & 44. Don't you just hate it when books don't arrive? It's like being stood up for a date. I'm keeping my fingers crossed your copies show up soon.

Hopefully the books show up soon. I suppose there's always a small percent that may get lost in the mail, or taken by a pirate postal worker (you'd know, because of the eyepatch), but hopefully that's not the case!
>44 elbakerone: Marking it unreceived is exactly what you need to do to inform me. Emailing or messaging me to tell me means I'm going to respond saying "please mark it unreceived".
Edited to add: Right, for those of you who don't have it listed on your Books You've Won page, you have no way of telling me that you haven't received it. That will have to wait. On the upside, you don't have to worry about it counting against you! (Neither will anyone who marks it unreceived.)

Hmmm...
still no book...
not showing up on the list (can't mark it as unreceived)...
no postal worker with an eyepatch...
I sent an email to the publisher with a polite inquiry about the status. I explained that many people seem to have received the book in mid-December but that there were also many individuals who report not yet getting the book. I'll let you all know if I get a response from them...

Three weeks and still no response from the publisher. I think I'm officially giving up on ever receiving this one :( and will put it on hold at my library so at least I'll get to read it.
If by some chance it does ever show up on my doorstep, I'll just count it as a pleasant unexpected surprise.

Still as of this date, no copy has been recieved. Well one or two books missing I might think it was lost but looks like several still havent recieved it.
50sonyagreen
Truly, Madly should now be showing on your Books You've Won page!
If you haven't received the book, please mark it unreceived.

Yay but I marked it as received but my review doesn't have a little bird thing above it.I wrote it on Dec 19th.Thanks
52mishmelle
Me too, it is not recognizing my review. Does it have to go through a nightly update or something before it finds the review?
53lisally
On the "books you've won" page, click "write a review" and the review form should show up with your review already written. Click save and it should update as an ER review.
54susiesharp
Thanks so much that worked!
56mellymel171328
Woot! Mine is up and showing that it is reviewed!
57crazy4reading
Yes mine is there and the review is showing up. Thanks Sonya!!
58elbakerone
I still do not have it showing up on my "Books You've Won" list.
If it makes a difference, I'm one of the ones who got a message saying I didn't win anything before getting the "You've Won" message for Truly, Madly. I also never received the book from the publisher nor did I get a response when I emailed the publisher asking about the book.
(Side note: I hope I don't sound really complainy about all this - especially since a generous member here sent her copy of the book to me! I just want to be vocal about the problem because I'm sure it's happened to others that have not said anything about it.)

Got it, I was able to compare against a backup winner list so I verified there weren't any others with this problem. Should appear on your winnings list now. -Mike
61elbakerone
It's there now - thank you, thank you!
Except... There's no option to mark it as unreceived. It still has the "wait 60 days message" and seeing as it was a November book and it's now March....
Plus a few more *thank yous* to override my complaints.
And some offerings of cheese to go with my whine. ;)

Just curious - my review of Truly, Madly was posted back in December but due, I'm guessing, to the programming glitch it never showed up on the Early Reviewers "Books you've won" list. I did go in earlier this month and update the status on the "books won" page to received, but it's still not showing my review. Is the missing link going to affect my chances of receiving future ER books? (I sure hope not!)
65sonyagreen
>64 SunnySD: That is a glitch -- I'm looking into it.
66pandora05
I like elbakarone was one of the ones that got 2 messages - that I didn't and then did win...it's still not on my list and I never got the book.
67sonyagreen
I'm fresh-back from my maternity leave, and this is on my list of things to do. I can't promise it'll be done anytime soon (meaning, the next few days at least), but I will make sure this is ironed out.
I'll update this thread as I have more info.
