This is my first year to attempt 50. Usually, I read only 35 or so a year ... But I'm up for the challenge! And this site makes it so much easier to keep track than what I've used in the past.

So far, I've read:
1. If I Gained the World by Linda Nichols **** one of my favorite authors!
2. Moses by Charles Swindoll
3. Daniel Deronda by George Eliot ***** this book was excellent ... gave insight into the lives of the Jewish people living in London in the late 1800s
4. An Autobiography of my Life by Charles Schnurle ... a fascinating book!
5. My life as a doormat (in three acts) by Rene Gutteridge ** a quick read

11. The Barbarian Way by Erwin Raphael McManus
12. The Jane Austen Book Club by Karen Joy Fowler ** not really one of my favorities in regards to plot, but it was interesting to read the dialogue among the characters about Austen's books ... also has a collection of quotes at the end about Austen by her family and various authors over a two-century span ... I found this to be intriguing!
13. The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins ***** great book, though I must admit I preferred The Woman in White to this one
14. Across a Hundred Mountains by Reyna Grande ****
15. Without reservations : the travels of an independent woman by Alice Steinbach ****

21. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen ***** as always, an excellent read
22. In Her Shoes by Jennifer Weiner not so great but simply had to finish
23. Mr. Darcy's Diary by Amanda Grange fun read
24. Sister Chicas by Lisa Alvarado
25. In Search of Eden by Linda Nichols ... wow! I totally LOVED this book!!
26. By Her Side by Kathryn Springer ... if you are interested in indulging in some mindless reading
27. First Impressions by Marilyn Sachs ... yet another Pride and Prejudice related book ... a cute one =)
28. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling ... an enjoyable and fast read
29. Troubling a Star by Madeleine L'Engle
30. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling
