I'd like to congratulate Tim Spalding and his staff for recently, within the past couple of days, surpassing the one million members mark in LibraryThing.
When I joined, three years ago, there were only 120,000 members or so. Let the naysayers and complainers and faultfinders naysay and complain and faultfind all they want that the not-very-goodreaders have oh so many more members compared to LT; but, LT, in essentially multiplying its membership ten times over in three years, is an incredible accomplishment regardless of what the mediocre-quality competition has "accomplished in vacuous quantity" during the same time.
The competition sucks. They know it, and we know it, which is why we're here, and not there.
Long live LibraryThing!!!
And here's to 2 million members by 2012!!!
