Make covers in cover view have valid hrefs

I'm trying to clean up a lot of my covers (missing and blurry covers, for one thing). The most straightforward way would be to turn on cover view and middle-click to open problem books in a new tab. But the way the cover view is designed precludes that. Right now left-clicking on it brings up a lightbox. Middle-clicking does nothing. It would be very useful if they were full fledged link with a javascript onclick for the lightbox and an href that went to the actual book page.

Also, I got tired of this behavior shortly after posting this a year ago and just made a greasemonkey script to fix it:

I open the lightbox, right mouse click on the edit cover icon and click on open in new tab - which is one click more than you suggest, but brings me quickly to the edit cover page.

It's not too bad...
